This is, unfortunately, many developers’ first roadblock when getting started with WebAssembly. They assume that if they just have rustc installed and pass a –target=wasm flag that they’ll get something they could load in a browser. Also note the use of _call.call(_toString, original) rather than simply original.toString(). This is because original.toString might itself be hooked by the time spoof is called.
